The Orillia Silver Band’s first performance of the fall will be on Sunday, October 15th at 2:00 pm at the Gravenhurst Opera House as part of the Muskoka Concert Association’s 2023-24 season.
The band will be sure to delight with a special fall program chosen by our Music Director, Neil Barlow, that has a little of something for everyone. You’ll hear classics like von Suppe’s Light Cavalry Overture and Dance Hongroise by Delibes along side of some movie music from The Lord of the Rings, and a gorgeous solo titled Flowerdale by Philip Sparke that will be played by our own Soprano Cornet soloist, Sarah Hemeon. Rounding out the program will be a tribute to Gordon Lightfoot as we play our own commissioned version of his popular Railroad Trilogy and a toe-tapping rendition of When the Saints Go Marching In.
Tickets are available onlice at the Gravenhurst Opera House.
